Account Settings
Now that you have installed your software on your Android device, you have to enter your Exchange account settings. A screenshot of the account settings is shown below.
The information for these fields is the same that you use when logging in to Outlook® Web Access:
- Username Your username. This may be in the form of
domain\usernameorusername@example.com. - Password Your email password.
- Server Your email server. The default server starts with
https:// - Login with a form If you login using a form, check this box. You can tell if
you login with a form if you see something like this when you login to OWA:
- Set the interval you wish to be notified for new mail. Note that higher frequencies result in more data sent and received to your device.
Advanced Settings (not shown)
Generally, these do not need to be populated. In select cases, you may need them if directed.
- Domain The windows domain used for authentication. Set this for specialized cases where the domain is not derived from the username.
- Mailbox Mailbox is used when you are logging into a mailbox that you have permission to view, but it may not be associated with your username. For example, if you have your own personal mailbox and need to access a different mailbox.
- Allow all SSL certificates to be accepted. This feature is useful for companies who are using self-signed certificates.
